I have a 4.8m fibreglass runabout. 1st trip out fishing a 1.2m Mako came up for a visit. I felt so intimidated by that little guy I think I would literally have a heart attack if this guy showed up.

When great whites circle and fin around something, it's meal time. I would assume an Aussie would know this. Also, since your waters a so dangerous, why would you go out in a boat that's smaller than the local apex predator???

I wasn't able to get a good enough look at the underside for claspers, but I don't think it has, suggesting that's a female because the scars could be mating scars.

The shark could sense the fish that you had hanging off your boat. You can see this when you pulled them out of the water at 1:37 that’s why he kept circling and getting closer. He wasn’t interested in meet with bones. They want fat (seals) or easy injured fish like the one you pulled up into the boat I love how calm the water was 👍

In 01 i was stuck in deep water ( boat flipped) for 8 hours at night off the coast of south africa. For every second of those 8 hours i could only imagine what was lurking below or next to me ...pitch effin black just waiting for that big hit to come.

He wanted whatever fish they had caught I think as she doesn’t seem to show any of the normal aggression signs. Bumping into the boat is common, it’s when they start chewing on the transom or props that people have a problem. A boat that size is a false sense of security, as the shark can lunge from below without their knowledge and snatch one of them from the boat. The girth of that thing is absolutely massive.

Amazing footage. This will show people just how hard they actually are to spot just gets below the Crystal clear deep blue water… And this was a very calm day where you can see ripples. Just add abut if waves and it’s impossible. Their counter shading is so clever in a horrifying way. Reflecting from above, white from underneath. They use this when they circle from someone, they’re slightly turning working with the shadows… . This is also why I get anxiety when seeing ignorant people just jumping off their and hired yachts.. no checking.
